Pursuing a B.A. at the University of California, Santa Barbara as a painting emphasis in the College of Creative Studies at UCSB.

Artist Bio:

Sonny Lata Yiu is a painter and children’s book illustrator. She is currently working towards her B.A. in Art at the University of California Santa Barbara’s College of Creative Studies as a painting emphasis. Her paintings use an illustrative style to explore themes of fairytales, family, and Asian American identity. Her work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions, and her illustrations projects have been featured in published children’s books, including The Tap: Life Lessons and Jiu Jitsu and Der Schatz Des Schmetterlings. In 2024, she published her first self-written and illustrated A Home for Two.
